Carrie Kaufman

Journalist.
Curious.
Resilient.

Carrie Kaufman is the sort of person who walks into a room and says, “Hey, what’s that elephant doing here?” She started her own publication, PerformInk, reporting on theatre and film in Chicago in the 1990s, then moved to public radio 20 years later after she hit the top 10 in the Public Radio Talent Quest. She is from Las Vegas, where she now covers education, and has twin teenage daughters. She writes the Substack, You’re Overthinking It, about the hidden rules we unquestioningly adhere to.
