Margaret DeRosia is a Toronto-based writer and editor who has run her own consultancy, Mighty Fine Writer, since 2010. She has worked with Artscape, Book Summit, the Canadian Film Centre, the Documentary Organization of Canada, and other organizations and individuals in the arts sector. A former dancer, bookseller, and professor of film and media studies at Western University, she is currently completing her first novel, Eight Strings, a work of historical fiction on a queer puppeteer in late nineteenth-century Venice, and for which she won both an Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council grant..
