Svea Vikander seeks to give words to that which is unsaid. She holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently studying journalism and Indigenous issues at the Sámi Allaskuvla. In 2018, Svea won the Young Alumna of Influence award from University College (University of Toronto) for her 2016 writing on sexual assault and consent, a project that helped to foster the #MeToo movement in Canada. She comes from an outspoken Swedish-Canadian family—her sister is a journalist, her cousin the Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander—and recently moved to Arctic Norway with her husband, two kids, and an extensive collection of silk caftans.
